Famous Golf Landscapes

  • David Lussier L.E. Oakmont Clubhouse Print

David Lussier is known for painting such New England scenes as boats, harbors, rocks, surf and farms, but the 56-year-old Southbridge artist is more excited these days about his brush with greatness. The United States Golf Association has hired Lussier to produce the official commemorative painting for the 2016 U.S. Open, which will be contested June 15-19, 2016, at historic Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.

  • Hartough Augusta #11

The start of Amen Corner is the most difficult hole in recent years because of its added length. A slight fade off the tee is necessary to reach the fairway. The greenside pond is more of a factor, because players have longer shots into the green. This is a open edition size each print is signed by artist Linda Hartough.

    Part Number: LH-A02

    Size: 17 x 19

  • Hartough Augusta #13

The classic risk-reward hole became more challenging with a new tee added in 2002. A slight draw is required to get into position for the second shot to the par-5, but a tributary of the creek catches shots that come up short. This is an open edition print that is signed by the Artist Linda Hartough.

    Size: 17 x 19

  • Hartough Augusta #15

Changes made in the last decade make reaching this par-5 hole in two shots a challenge, but plenty of birdies will be had. A pond guards the green in front, but those who lay up face a hard shot from a downhill lie. This is an open edition print and is signed by the Artist Linda Hartough.

    Size: 17 x 19

  • Hartough Augusta #16

This par-3 requires anything from a short- to medium-iron shot. The green is the holes main defense; being below the hole is a must. The back bunker and a pond on the left also pose hazards. This is an open edition print and is signed by the Artist Linda Hartough.

  • Hartough Augusta #18

The closing hole has become a 465-yard challenge with the extension of the tee in 2002. An accurate drive is a must, and an expanded bunker complex requires a clout of 335 yards to carry. Trees to the left of the bunkers prevent a bailout on that side, and the elevated green is guarded by bunkers. This is an open edition print signed by the Artist Linda Hartough.

  • Hartough signed 2010 US Open Pebble Beach

renowned golf landscape artist Linda Hartough captures this breathtaking scene of the ninth hole, the challenging sloping green and gorgeous vistas at Pebble Beach Golf Links along the California coastline in one of her most extraordinary accomplishments. Pebble Beach hosted four previous and memorable U.S. Open Championships: in 1972 (won by Jack Nicklaus), 1982 (Tom Watson), 1992 (Tom Kite), 2000 (Tiger Woods). Commissioned by the USGA to commemorate the 110th championship, this marks Hartough's 21st painting in the U.S. Open series.

  • St. Andrews Canvas Panoramic

Known as the road hole the 17th at St Andrews is arguably the most famous hole in the world. The tee shot calls for a 180-yard carry over dark green sheds with the aiming point over the Old Course Hotel sign. The risky play down the right earns a much better angle into the green with a drive down the left side bringing the deep Road Bunker into play to the left of the green. A over-hit approach brings a road-and a stone wall-will likely into play. This large panoramic Giclee on canvas has a linen liner and is signed and numbered by Bill Thompson, the photographer.
